Chula Vista, CA piloted an app to help the visually impaired
Chula Vista launched a pilot program to test an app designed to help the visually impaired navigate the city. The pilot program is scheduled to last one year. The app will be free for the visually impaired in areas around the city such as the library and police headquarters.

“As we become an aging population, having impaired vision is sometimes part of the aging process and we want to make sure everyone can live their life to the fullest,” said Chula Vista Mayor Mary Salas.
