Coconino County partnered with SpaceX to launch a trial of satellite-based broadband beta technology for 45 rural households. Elon Musk launched several dozen satellites into low orbit that are designed to provide broadband internet connectivity. The County entered into the partnership as an early customer of SpaceX in order to help make internet more accessible in rural areas.
