Drayton Valley, AB Zero Fee Tuition Initiative Workers
The Zero Fee Tuition Initiative covers up to CAD 5,000 in tuition costs per eligible resident. Recipients can earn credentials at five participating institutions including a professional hairstyling course and a health care aide program. Drayton Valley designed the initiative for recent high school graduates and career-changing professionals. University of Alberta researchers are conducting a two-year study of the impacts of this first-in-Canada program on Drayton Valley's economy.
