Framingham, MA outdoor dining fixtures permanent

Complete

The Framingham City Council voted unanimously to add a new zoning ordinance which allows restaurants owners that invested in outdoor dining during the COVID-19 pandemic to make these fixtures permanent. Restaurant owners will be able to apply for building permit amendments and licenses for outdoor liquor service under the new ordinance. Any approved zones must maintain an ADA-compliant throughway for outdoor operations and food cannot be prepared outside.
