Light sensors were attached to posts in Gordon Street, Merchant City, and Riverside Walkway. Sensors allow the City Operations Centre to adjust lighting based on soundwaves that indicate crowd density. The city gathers data on movement, air pollution, and noise useful for project planning. Glasgow's CCTV network can be adjusted to monitor anomalies found by the sensors.
