Pilots in Eastleigh and Winchester evaluate different approaches to on-street EV charging. The Winchester pilot involves 22 chargers installed on streetlight columns near street parking bays. The Eastleigh trial features 28 bollard chargers powered by the columns but stationed closer to the curb. County officials will use pilot data to inform how best to address the lack of off-street charging options for future EV owners.
