Ipswich, QLD becomes Australia's first local government with a Transparency and Integrity Hub
Ipswich, QLD Transparency and Integrity Hub Australia First
Complete
The current government pushed for the hub in response to public concerns about tax rate transparency. Hub visitors access data on procurements over $200,000 through raw data or visualizations. Ipswich added councilor expense reports along with expenses for council-owned properties like the Motorsport Park. The Stories section provides explainers on each report category. The initial version of the hub holds five years of data with real-time capabilities on the horizon.
Project Succeeded
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding was recognized by Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand for leading the development of the hub.
