Residents who completed transactions of $20 AUD or more at participating businesses were eligible for a voucher during the monthlong program. An email to the town council with a valid receipt was entered into a weekly draw. The winner received a $200 AUD voucher to a shop of their choice. Katherine Town Council also encouraged residents to share their local shop experiences on social media with the #katherineproud hashtag.

COVID-19 has and continues to have a significant impact on the Katherine community and its businesses, both financially and mentally. Katherine Town Council is continuously exploring ways to support the Katherine region during this time. Currently, Council is running the Katherine – Live Local, Love Local campaign, Everything Katherine App, Business Rates Concession/Grant and Reopening and Recovery grant to assist during this time.
