Kent County Council, GB works with Go-Coach to convert bus routes for on-demand transit pilot
Kent County Council, GB On-Demand Transit Pilot
The Go2 service replaced seven fixed routes as public transit use declined due to COVID-19. Kent County Council and Go-Coach wanted to facilitate essential trips for residents and medical personnel. This three-month program used the ViaVan app to connect commuters with rides six days a week. App users traveled to any destination in the Sevenoaks area with pickups completed in less than 30 minutes. Fares ranged from £2.20 for trips under 2.5 miles to £6.50 for trips more than 8 miles.
