King County, WA begins first-in-the-country Collaborative Case Management Pilot for veterans
King County, WA Collaborative Case Management Pilot
In Progress
The King County Veterans Program (KCVP) identifies homeless veterans for the pilot. Participants receive HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) vouchers to cover the rent for apartments identified by the county's Housing Authority. KCVP and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs coordinate services ranging from food assistance to job training. This pilot emphasizes stable housing and independent living for a group with disproportionate homelessness rates.
