Borough officials and Peddle My Wheels held five markets throughout Croydon in August 2021. Residents cleared garages and basements of unused bikes at each market. Mechanics from Peddle My Wheels repaired bikes prior to sale. The Pop-Up Bike Markets also highlighted the organization's Try Before You Bike program. Sellers received 100% of the purchase price, buyers acquired competitively priced bikes, and the council increased active travel in a cost-effective way.
