London Borough of Waltham Forest, GB trains residents through Bystander Intervention pilot

London Borough of Waltham Forest, GB Bystander Intervention

In Progress

Thirty participants in this pilot complete online courses on how to intervene against bullying and hate crimes in public settings. Trainers focus on how bystanders can assist victims of different backgrounds. Program graduates spread this training to their professional and social circles as Bystander Intervention Ambassadors. Bystander Intervention was a recommendation of the council's first Citizens Assembly that focused on reducing hate incidents.
