Los Angeles, CA L.A. Equity Index Disparities Opportunities
The L.A. Controller's Office analyzed socioeconomic, environmental, education, and resource access data for every census tract. Each category received a 1-to-10 score based on relative levels of equity and opportunity. The composite score for a tract is an average of the four category scores. Data included in this analysis ranged from rent burdens to air quality. Residents find low-scoring tracts shaded with dark colors on the index's interactive map.
