Manchester, NH gunshot detection systems pilot program
The Manchester Police Department (MPD) is planning to become the first in New Hampshire to deploy the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system to combat gun violence. The MPD is looking to secure a $300,000 grant to cover the cost of ShotSpotter for a two-year pilot program across a three square mile section of the city. If the department receives the grant, the funds will then go through the city's Community Improvement Program approval process before being used to launch the pilot.
