Marlborough District Council contracted Aerial Surveys Ltd. to collect geographic data using the latest Light Detecting and Ranging aerial technology. The data collected from this project will be utilized to render 3D maps and landscape models of the Marlborough Sounds, South Marlborough, and Molesworth regions. The models will inform long-term, land use planning to benefit local farming. The final results of the project are estimated to arrive in 2023.
