Oakland, CA Resilient Families Guaranteed Income Pilot
A randomly selected group of 300 families in East Oakland receive direct payments of $500 per month for at least 18 months. The second phase of the pilot picks an additional 300 households throughout Oakland for direct payments. Oakland and its project partners are focusing on low-income recipients who are black, indigenous, or people of color. Oakland Resilient Families will conduct multilingual workshops and surveys throughout the pilot to generate community feedback.
