Oakland, CA to deploy hundreds of electric vehicle chargers citywide
In Progress
The City of Oakland is set to install 244 Level 2 electric vehicle chargers across eight city-owned parking facilities by the end of 2025, in partnership with the California Energy Commission and Flash parking technology company, at no cost to the city. This initiative builds on a previous collaboration that established an EV charging "Innovation Lab" with 56 chargers, funded by a $5.8 million CEC grant, and aims to make EVs more accessible for residents without home charging options.
