The council's iHub team worked with Alchera Technologies on a two-stage development process. Data from existing traffic counters and GPS were combined in the first stage for real-time responses to poor road conditions. Alchera integrated data from bus companies, CCTV cameras, and other sources into a Transport Data Exchange for council officers in the second stage. An AI-enabled system combining both stages will emerge from the project with potential transit app integrations.
