The Pima County Department of Information Technology partnered with the Pima County Public Library to assemble a digital inclusion taskforce. The taskforce is developing the “Strategic Planning Taskforce for Digital Access in Pima County” long-term plan to increase access to affordable and reliable broadband internet. The plan involves an $800,000 contract with Cox Communications to activate 130 free internet hotspots in underserved locations.
