Pittsburgh, PA considers BusPatrol pilot to fine vehicles for passing school buses with AI system

Pittsburgh, PA BusPatrol pilot AI system school road safety

Planning

The City of Pittsburgh Public School Board is considering a partnership with BusPatrol to pilot an artificial intelligence (AI) system designed to improve road safety for school students. The AI system would automatically capture video information from any vehicle that illegally passes stopped school buses, submit an evidence package to the police, and if the citation was approved it would then send a fine to the vehicle's owner.
