Purmerend, NH healthy eating pilot program
In Progress
The Municipality of Purmerend, alongside neighboring municipalities, is partnering with National Action Plan Vegetables and Fruit to launch the "Baby Vegetable Bag" pilot program. During the 8-week pilot, 200 families with an infant between 4-12 months old received weekly Baby Vegetable Bags. The bags contained freezer containers, blenders, fresh vegetables from local farmers, and recipes to promote long-term healthy eating preferences for children.
