The city of Rancho Palos Verdes contracts Pano AI to install wildfire cameras that can detect the initial wisps of smoke that could be a sign of a potentially devastating fire. The one-year contract for wildfire detection services will cost the city about $140,000. Pano AI will provide 360-degree, high-definition cameras placed on high vantage points with a visibility range of about 15 miles. Pano AI will also fully manage hardware, permitting, installation, monitoring, operations and repairs.
