Reno, NV monitoring carbon emissions in real-time

Planning

The City of Reno and Washoe County are partnering with the Reno-based company Ledger 8760 to monitor carbon emissions. The three-year pilot will cost the city and county $6,000 per month to track government fleets, buildings and assets to help them reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs. This climate change initiative is significant because it will be the first time any local government has monitored carbon emissions in real-time.
