The Municipality of Rotterdam is installing 100 new charging stations to promote electric cars and improve air quality. The stations are equipped with Smart Charging which remotely controls sessions to adapt to electricity demands in real-time and Vehicle to Grid which temporarily stores sustainable energy in the batteries of electric cars. During a high demand for power, the stored power can be returned to the grid via the new charging stations.
