Sacramento, CA schedules Wi-Fi bus routes to keep residents connected during COVID-19

Sacramento, CA COVID-19 Wi-Fi Buses Connected

Ten Wi-Fi buses are sent daily to areas of the city with limited connectivity due to business closures. Each bus spends the morning and afternoon in different locations to increase the project's impact. Residents within 1,800 feet of a Wi-Fi bus can access high-speed Internet. The city is working with the Sacramento Regional Transit District and the California State Transportation Agency to manage the project.
