Sheffield City Council created a Race Equality Commission to provide a non-partisan strategic assessment of race inequality and make recommendations for addressing these issues. The commission is fully independent and operated by expert volunteers and elected representatives. The Race Equality Commission is calling for submissions of evidence from residents to support and inform its inquiry into the nature, extent, causes, and impact of local race inequality.
