The city of Sulphur created a private property debris removal program to help residents affected by Hurricane Laura. Applicants must provide a valid driver's license or other form of identification, proof of loss or statement of loss if insured, and a deed or tax statement of to document property ownership. Participants can have their damaged structures demolished and debris removed from their property at no cost.

City of Sulphur to Open Private Property Debris Removal Office Monday | Calcasieu Information

On Monday, August 9th, the Private Property Debris Removal Intake Center located at 1551 East Napoleon Street opens at 9:30 A.M. If your property has disaster generated debris that you cannot remove and poses a threat to public health and safety or if your home has suffered catastrophic structural damage, you may apply for assistance.
