The Sunbury City Council is discussing plans to modernize the city's 587 outdated parking meters. One possibility for the new parking system would be to replace them with central, credit card-friendly machines on every block. The machines would accept credit cards or cash then print out a ticket for drivers to place in their window. Each of these machines would cost $5,000 to install along with a $70 monthly software fee.
