Toronto, ON CareTO Pilot Lakeshore Lodge New Approach
The one-year pilot centers staff attention on the emotional and social needs of Lakeshore Lodge residents. CareTO trains staff members to develop relationships with an increasingly diverse resident population. Each resident receives at least four hours of daily direct care during the program. Redesigned interior spaces, increased access to outdoor activities, and evolving menus move away from the institutional traditions of long-term care.
