The City of Utica deployed free WiFi for residents and customers in targeted downtown areas. Anyone can access the free "UticaProud2020" Wifi network for up to two hours every day at various downtown locations and businesses. The City deployed the free Wifi in order to modernize services, drive local economic activity, enhance the downtown experience, and to support recovery from the negative fiscal impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
