Twenty-one streets in the Shaftesbury neighborhood saw 126 SmartCables affixed to existing street lamps. EV owners access lamp column sockets by signing up for pay-as-you-go or monthly memberships through ubitricity. This project represents the highest density of EV charge points in England. Wandsworth Borough Council wants to add 900 on-street charge points by 2021 to help drivers comply with London's Ultra Low Emission Zone requirements.
