Wayne County launched Wayne County Transit (WCT) a new countywide public transit service. The shared-ride service only costs passengers a one-way fare of $2.50 which may be paid with exact change or via the EZfare mobile ticketing app. Residents who start using the service for work trips will receive free trips to and from work for their first 20 days. The transit service was designed to help residents with mobility issues travel to work, shops, appointments, etc.
