In Progress
Westchester County launched a 911 call diversion program as part of the "Reimagining Policing Project Alliance" mental health crisis response initiative. Emergency dispatchers identify and refer 911 callers to a mental health crisis network team staffed by behavioral health professionals. The team provides supportive services to de-escalate situations diverted from Westchester County Department of Public Safety and Department of Emergency Services and neighboring police departments.
