The Waste Watchers program allowed city personnel to audit bins used by volunteer families for six weeks. Participants also attended recycling education sessions to improve their habits. The initial pilot involved 10 families followed by a cohort of 17 families in the suburb of Tarneit. The Waste Watchers initiative was part of Wyndham's efforts to increase compliance with Recycle Right standards.
