Antwerpen, VAN LGBTQIA+ volunteer buddy initiative

The city of Antwerpen partnered with the non-profit Het Roze Huis, the intercultural LGBTQIA+ association Shouf Shouf, and the civic integration center Atlas to launch the "Finding and Connecting" volunteer buddy initiative. The initiative offers LGBTQIA+ residents, with a migration background, support by pairing them with a volunteer buddy for six months or more. Each buddy volunteer receives specialized training and is supervised by a coordinator to promote Antwerpen as an inclusive city.
