The three-week program shows entry points into the civil construction industry for female high school students. Participants learn about the industry and employment opportunities from construction experts. Girls in Civil includes visits to local construction sites, equipment demonstrations, and presentations by experienced professionals. Armidale and Training Services NSW hope participants are empowered to work in the male-dominated construction industry.

Armidale Regional, NSW creates a local tree inventory using Asset Edge Reflect software
The council audited 13,000 trees on local streets and uploaded findings to Reflect. Each tree's entry includes species, age, and location. Work crews use tablets to access the cloud-based database as they fulfill service requests. The Reflect platform updates each record after maintenance to track health trends. This asset inventory tool allows analyses of tree lifespans that inform vegetation management policies.
