City councilors approved $140,000 AUD in LED lighting projects as part of a stimulus package to offset the impacts of COVID-19. Five buildings received exterior LED fixtures that improve nighttime safety. Baywater also added efficient lighting to five high-traffic roads and walkways for better visibility. Local contractors and suppliers received much-needed work while the council works toward its 2040 net-zero emissions goal.
