Dorset, Hampshire County, and BCP Councils are mapping public infrastructure for potential 5G expansion during the one-year pilot. A shared inventory of street furniture shows how the councils can support 5G rollouts with current assets. Local officials are working with researchers and mobile companies on a roadmap based on this inventory. The Wessex Digital Infrastructure Accelerator builds on prior pilots by Dorset that turned council buildings into network assets.
