Cambridge City Council, GB explores the future of public transit with autonomous vehicle pilot
Cambridge City Council, GB Autonomous Vehicle Pilot
Aurrigo worked with city-backed Greater Cambridge Partnership on a pilot that evaluates real-world transit conditions. An Aurrigo AUTO-POD mapped a two-mile route between the Madingley Road Park and Ride and the University of Cambridge. Three AUTO-SHUTTLES will run on this route with minimal assistance from an onboard operator. Each 10-seat shuttle is powered by electricity and travels up to 120 miles per charge with a top speed of 20 miles per hour.
