Local businesses with 20 or fewer employees qualify for up to $5,000 in matching grants. Successful applicants use the funds for innovative products, services, and practices that diversify the local economy. The SBAP application includes a required self-assessment tool that determines any permits required for proposed projects. Shire officials designed SBAP to create paths for startups and growing ventures to spur economic growth.
