Falkirk Council, GB designed its Persons at Risk Database to improve emergency response times
Falkirk Council, GB Persons at Risk Database Emergency
Complete
Falkirk Council previously used printouts of vulnerable or isolated residents during emergencies. PARD draws on the Social Work Information System and Forth Valley NHS data to produce a GIS map of at-risk populations. First responders consult with PARD to target evacuations and customize medical interventions. The council uses the database to anticipate resource needs and simulate emergency response scenarios.
Project Succeeded
PARD was offered free to every Scottish local authority in 2019. The database garnered a 2018 ALARM Risk Award for Falkirk Council.
