Firenze [Florence], TOS Prato Recycled Bicycle Superhighway

The 12-kilometer Superciclabile is built from 100% recycled asphalt. This dedicated bike route includes motion-activated lights that improve safety during nighttime rides. Both lanes are wide enough to allow speeds up to 25 kilometers per hour and safe passage around casual riders. The Superciclabile connects with train stations along the route to encourage cycling as part of long-range trips.
