The Greensboro City Council approved a partnership with Flock Group to install 10 solar-powered automatic license plate reader cameras in high-crime areas. The purchase and installation of the cameras cost the city $27,500 plus $2,500 in annual subscription fees for data management. The cameras capture the make, model, color, and license plate of passing vehicles alerting officers when vehicles associated with the National Crime Information Center are detected.
