City staffers worked with the Sunlight Foundation to develop a youth engagement section on its open data portal. This category includes datasets on anti-drug programs, seasonal employment, and teen court statistics. Irving also deployed 12 graduates of its 360 Civic Academy to enhance engagement among underserved populations. Eight weeks of data analysis led to the cohort's recommendation of an ambassador program for selected groups to the city council.
