The City of Tuscaloosa is partnering with a distributor of autonomous grass-cutting devices, My Goat Inc., to deploy robotic lawn mowers. The City Council's public projects committee unanimously endorsed a three-year contract with the Nashville-based company to use these lawn mowing "goats" in city-maintained areas. The 36-month contract will cost $14,088 for the first year and $9,168 for each remaining year but the robotic mowers will reduce fuel costs, equipment maintenance, and manpower.
