Waimakariri District Council partnered with Waste Management NZ to provide residents with kerbside collection reminders. Residents can register their property online in order to receive text or email alerts reminding them to put their rubbish bins and bags outside. Only 900 households subscribed for the service within the first four months of its launch but the Council continues to encourage residents to register.
