Waitaki District Council launched the "Let's Get Ready to Grumble" public engagement campaign to give residents an opportunity to chat with with Council staff. The Council deployed "Wanda the conversation caravan" so Council Communications staff could travel to local gathering places and meet with residents. Participants were encouraged to air any grievances directly to the staff and rewarded with free apple crumbles for their grumbles.
