Waitaki District Council provides internet access to families with children under the age of 18 who lack access at home through the Spark Jump initiative. The Council partners with Spark a New Zealand based telecommunications company to supply these families with a free Skinny modem, 30GB of data, and a low cost data plan. This program was designed to help households that require internet access for their children's education.
