West Coast Regional Council contracted Aerial Surveys Limited to capture digital terrain data using the latest LiDAR (Light Detecting and Ranging) technology. The data collected from this project will be utilized to render detailed 3D maps and landscape models of the region. The information collected from the aerial surveys will help the Council model natural hazards and improve land/water management.
