The Municipality of Ystad created a whistleblower team that offers protections to individuals reporting serious workplace misconduct. The protections also apply to any person or group that assists the whistleblower such as legal counsel, companies, authorities or non-profit organizations. The municipality allows any employee, jobseeker, trainee or self-employed person who performs assignments for the municipality to be recognized as a protected whistleblower.
